Superstar KELIS in Cassius Eyewear!

Brit Award winner, two-time Grammy nominee and fashion icon, Kelis in Cassius Eyewear’s #LA002 LAUTNER (in Havana)!

F**k yeah, she looks hawt! The former R&B, and now dance/ pop superstar (… is there anything she can’t do?!) was spotted while holidaying in Ibiza last month with close friends for her 31st birthday (August 21, 1979)–including [from L-R above] Mark Gillespie from Three Six Zero Group Artist Management, DJ Nikki, club promoter Legendary Damon and DJ Rashida.

Kelis has had a stellar year, with her fifth studio album “Flesh Tone” (released May 14, 2010) charting in the Top 10 in several countries including in the U.K. and U.S., and the album has been critically acclaimed as one of the best dance albums of its time and is considered Kelis’ return to commercial success in Europe.

Some facts we didn’t know about Kelis; she was born and raised in Harlem, New York; her first name is portmanteau of her father’s name Kenneth (an African-America Jazz musician and professor at Wesleyan University) and her mother, Eveliss (a Chinese-Puerto Rican fashion designer); she is the third oldest of four sisters; she formed The Neptunes with Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams after graduating from the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts; her single “Milkshake” was her world-wide breakthrough and biggest selling single charting in the Top 3 in Australia, Ireland, U.K. and U.S.; and she has a 1-year old baby boy named Knight (to rapper Nas) which she wrote about in the first single from “Flesh Tone“, “Acapella“.

Reports are that Kelis LOVES her Cassius Eyewear, and we have already created quite the buzz amongst Kelis’ inner circle with her friends and management, so maybe she’ll even tell Pharrell Williams about us lol.
